Meet our 2021 Innovation and Values Award Winners – Kleenheat Natural Disaster Response Team

12 January 2022

Kleenheat’s Natural Disaster Response Team witnessed first-hand the devastating impacts of the Wooroloo bush fire and Cyclone Seroja earlier this year.

The team, comprising of Residential Cylinder Manager Awhina Bishop, Cylinder Sales Manager – Metro, James Noble, Senior Depot Team Leader – Kwinana, Adrian Sims, Maintenance Contracts Specialist Henry Kata, Business Representative – North WA, Tom Branse, and Transport Co-ordinator, Karl Bradley, was acknowledged for their Integrity at WesCEF’s recent Innovation and Values Awards.

Brought together from across the business, the team was tasked with inspecting customer sites, making safe cylinder installations, re-establishing gas supply for customers, and collecting damaged cylinders from homes which had been destroyed.

Their commitment to safety and customer focus was greatly appreciated by the impacted communities, many of whom had lost all their possessions.

Cylinder Sales Manager – Metro, James Noble, admits the award came as a surprise to the team, who saw their efforts as just doing their job.

“Supporting and helping people in the community is really just part of what we do every day,” James said.

“However, it was great to be able to come together quickly and put our skills to good use, while being supported by the wider business in our efforts to help these communities.

“One of the notable things about WesCEF is that we really do live our values.

“Being able to get out on the ground and support people during these difficult times helps show that we are part of the community – we have people who live and work locally and we are there to support them in good times and bad.”

Well done team!
