WesCEF is guided by Wesfarmers vision for reconciliation; an Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples can participate, lead and prosper and where reconciliation creates shared value for communities, businesses and the nation.
Wesfarmers Elevate RAP and information about the strategic pillars can be found here – Reconciliation at Wesfarmers .
Our Aboriginal Inclusion Plan guides how we support Aboriginal team members, suppliers and communities through sustainable employment, procurement and partnerships. The plan ensures our team members have the opportunity to thrive, embeds culture across our operations, and builds the strong foundations necessary for lasting, positive change.
Steering our actions is WesCEF’s Aboriginal Inclusion Plan which encompasses our Reconciliation Pillars;
- Respect – WesCEF will ensure Aboriginal people feel welcome as team members, suppliers, customers and community members. Accordingly, we will grow our collective knowledge of, and build respect for, Aboriginal histories and cultures to create an inclusive workplace.
- Opportunities – We are committed to increasing Aboriginal representation within our workforce and supplier base to be a respected place of business within the communities in which we operate. True success will happen by providing meaningful training, employment and supplier diversity opportunities. Contribute to a safe, positive and inclusive workplace for Aboriginal employees.
- Relationships – We will deepen the engagement and connection between WesCEF and local Aboriginal communities to better understand their needs and ambitions and support the development of new positive relationships while continuing to nurture the ones we already have.
- Governance – We will be accountable and transparent in the delivery and reporting of our Aboriginal Inclusion Plan and its specific, measurable and timebound actions, which align with Wesfarmers Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
