CSBP has achieved a major milestone with the delivery of Ammonia to its first interstate customer in South Australia. While CSBP is one of Western Australia’s leading Ammonia manufacturers and suppliers, this is the first time we have sold product to an interstate customer.
CSBP General Manager Ammonia/AN Leigh Meyers explained that this milestone caps off a long logistics lead up that included ensuring compliance with both WA and SA road regulations and managing a host of technical challenges.
“This project was a major achievement for the whole CSBP team, and a true demonstration of our value of collaboration. Different teams came together to find solutions to the challenges of servicing an interstate customer,” Leigh said.
“From the Ammonia Loading Facility operators through to senior mechanical engineers, several different teams went above and beyond to help get us over the line.”
“While CSBP doesn’t manage the delivery of ammonia, we worked extremely closely with our customer to ensure they were able to safely and legally pick it up from Kwinana and deliver it to their facility in South Australia.”
It’s an important milestone for CSBP, and highlights what’s possible for the business’ future as it seeks to be a leader in chemical and mining solutions.
“This contract taught us a lot about how to manage the challenges when working with customers interstate, and the business is now well placed to continue expanding and building up our interstate customer base,” Leigh said.
