Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers (WesCEF) and its businesses fund grass-roots causes, projects and charities through a range of different community grant programs.

WesCEF’s Community Grants Program supports community organisations that work to benefit the communities closest to our Kleenheat and CSBP operations in the Kwinana and Rockingham region – the largest community in which we operate.

The Community Grants focus on engaging with and supporting a community we have been a part of for over 80 years through our Kleenheat and CSBP businesses.

WesCEF Aboriginal Affairs Lead Emma Castle, says it’s important to engage with our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, because we know that supporting programs and initiatives, designed by them, will make a real difference in the community.

“We support local organisations that undertake projects to advance the health, wellbeing and culture of Aboriginal people.”

“Most of our businesses operate on Whudjuk Noongar land, therefore it makes sense that we contribute to supporting the culture and wellbeing of local Noongar people as well as the environment, whilst also creating meaningful pathways to employment for future generations.” Castle said.

WesCEF’s Managing Director Ian Hansen said it’s relevant and important for a company with a diverse portfolio to support the educational needs of the next generation, while sustaining a healthy environment in which to operate – so supporting STEM learning and Environmental initiatives is vital for WesCEF.

“We are committed to our net zero roadmap, and want to help improve the sustainability and environment of our community,” Mr. Hansen said.

“We also want to support the STEM aspirations of young people within our operational areas, the future engineers and scientists who may one day become valuable additions to the WesCEF team.”
