If you’re not quite ready to start an apprenticeship or traineeship, you may want to consider our Work Experience Placement Program. Through this program, WesCEF provides opportunities for students interested a careers in industry to gain exposure and determine whether a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) career is right for you.
The program is suitable for:
- Secondary school students
- Students enrolled in relevant vocational study
Traditionally, we offer placements in the following streams:
- Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Fitting)
- Electrical Engineering (Industrial Electrician)
- Process Operations
Requests outside of these streams are considered on a case-by-case basis.
All work experience placements are unpaid and are available only when an opportunity arises. Applicants must be covered by their sponsoring institution’s professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
