Our greatest asset is our people
Workforce diversity provides us with a rich canvass of thoughts, ideas, experiences and backgrounds. It’s these differences that will drive our future success.
For us, inclusion means that all our people feel safe and connected at work with equal access to opportunities and resources to drive their career goals. Ensuring inclusion is at the core of our people’s experience during their career journey with WesCEF is also about continuous improvement. We are continuously looking at our ways of working to uncover potential biases in our systems, processes and behaviours and improve our employee experience.
How we’re building an inclusive work environment:
-
Gender Equality and Commitment to Progress
Gender equality is a core strategic pillar at WesCEF.
Gender diversity and pay equity are key priorities. Since 2010 WesCEF has conducted annual pay equity reviews and has set a gender balance target of a minimum of 40% males and 40% females across the organisation. In 2025, women represent 39% of our total workforce and 45% of our executive leadership team.
WesCEF measures and reports on progress and the effectiveness of our inclusive initiatives across all stages of the employee lifecycle including recruitment and career progression outcomes. Our gender inclusion goals are underpinned by practice, programs and policies that support gender diversity across our workforce, leadership teams and talent pipelines.

Flexibility at WesCEF
We know that flexibility in the workplace helps us to attract people from diverse talent pools and also supports our people to achieve satisfaction at work at all life stages. Flexibility comes in many shapes and forms and will mean different things to different people – and we encourage our candidates to talk about what flexibility means to them during the recruitment process.
WesCEF has a Flexible Work policy, and our approach supports our people and business through flexibility options such as Public Holiday substitution for cultural or religious reasons, remote work and work from home options, part-time work, flexible start and finish times, job sharing and flexible leave options (including employee-purchased leave) in addition to standard leave entitlements.
-
Families and Carers
WesCEF offers 18 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers, which includes the payment of superannuation for paid and unpaid components of parental leave, and a return to work bonus for primary carers.
To support breastfeeding parents returning to work we have bookable and lockable quiet rooms available at our Kwinana and Murdoch sites.
Employees with parenting or other caring responsibilities can also purchase up to four weeks of leave per calendar year.
-
Building our Culture of Connectedness
At WesCEF we want all our people to feel connected, included and to have a sense of belonging. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in occasions and events that acknowledge, raise awareness and celebrate the rich diversity of our workforce and the communities we operate in.
Activity is driven through our Employee Networks, and actively championed by WesCEF senior leader sponsors.
We offer a unique Aboriginal Awareness and Cultural Inclusion Program to raise awareness and celebrate the diversity and richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
Aboriginal Employment Opportunities
Through the Wesfarmers Reconciliation Action Plan and WesCEF’s Aboriginal Inclusion Plan, WesCEF supports reconciliation through sustainable employment and procurement opportunities that are embedded within a safe working environment.
Our vision is for Aboriginal team members to thrive, where Aboriginal culture is celebrated across all aspects of our business and our actions are transformative for the Aboriginal community.

A wide variety of opportunities are available at our Murdoch or Kwinana locations, and we welcome Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to submit an Expression Of Interest.
