  • CSBP Ammonia/Ammonium Nitrate

    CSBP Ammonia/Ammonium Nitrate prides itself on providing safe and reliable chemical and mining solutions to its valued business customers.

    The business has been manufacturing Ammonium Nitrate (AN) for more than 50 years, establishing itself as one of the worlds largest suppliers of explosive grade Ammonium Nitrate (EGAN). Almost all of the AN produced each year is used in the mining industry as a blasting agent.

    CSBP Ammonia/AN also manufactures and supplies Ammonia and other industrial chemicals (such as nitric acid, Sulphuric Acid and Urea) to the Western Australia’s mining and resources sectors.

    CSBP’s world-class Kwinana facilities include three Nitric Acid and AN production (NAAN) plants that together, produce over 800,000 tonnes of AN each year.

  • Australian Gold Reagents (AGR)

    AGR is the management company of CSBP’s sodium cyanide manufacturing joint venture with Coogee Chemicals Pty Ltd. As a 75 per cent shareholder, CSBP acts as the operating and sales agent for the company.

    For more than 31 years, AGR has been manufacturing and supplying sodium cyanide in solution form and, since 2003, in solid form. AGR has built the strong and enviable reputation of being a reliable supplier and manufacturer of sodium cyanide, with an uncompromising focus on safety, technical support, training, storage, and transport management. It is now one of the world’s leading suppliers and manufacturers of sodium cyanide for use in gold extraction and is a founding signatory of the International Cyanide Management Institute (ICMI).

    AGR produces about 90,000 tonnes per annum of sodium cyanide solution, and more than 40,000 tonnes per annum of sodium cyanide solid. It is transported to mining operations locally, nationally and overseas to more than 25 countries throughout South East Asia, Africa, the Americas and the Middle East.

  • CSBP Fertilisers

    CSBP Fertilisers is the market leader in Western Australia, manufacturing, importing, and distributing phosphate, nitrogen, and potassium-based fertilisers in blended, compound, and liquid form.

    Many of CSBP Fertilisers products have been developed specifically for Western Australian soils, and it offers the widest range of quality cropping and pasture fertilisers.

    CSBP’s roots reach back to 1897 when Cuming Smith & Company began manufacturing superphosphate in Victoria and Western Australia. In 1910, it became the first Western Australian manufacturer of superphosphate fertiliser.

    On average, CSBP Fertilisers sells more than 1 million tonnes of fertiliser each year. CSBP’s manufacturing facility in Kwinana includes a superphosphate manufacturing plant, a granulation plant, a liquids plant with the most extensive fertiliser product shed and tank storage in WA, and nine despatch plants. It’s Kwinana operations are supported by fertiliser storage and despatch and distribution facilities in Albany, Bunbury, Esperance, Geraldton, Coomberdale, Goomalling, Merredin, Tambellup, and Wagin.

  • Kleenheat

    Kleenheat has a rich history in the Western Australian gas market. Founded in 1956 to provide farming communities reliable energy and appliances, it was the first company to distribute liquid petroleum gas (LPG) in the state.

    In 2013, Kleenheat entered the natural gas market, giving Western Australian consumers a choice of retailers and discounted natural gas usage charges for the first time. It has since received multiple Canstar Blue awards for having the ‘most satisfied natural gas customers’ in WA and being the ‘most trusted gas supplier’ nationally.

    Today Kleenheat supplies natural gas to over 200,000 Western Australian households. The business remains focused on providing ongoing value and an excellent customer experience for households and businesses in WA.

  • Australian Vinyls

    AVC Trading, (also known as Australian Vinyls) is a leading freight services provider and Australia’s largest supplier of poly vinyl chloride (PVC) resins, other polymers and polymer additives. Based in Melbourne Victoria, the team has been operating since 1997.

    As a freight services supplier, AV specialises in moving bulk shipping containers from the Asian region to Australia. This new service started in 2017 at the request of various customers to assist with their ocean freight requirements and has continued to grow to sectors such as construction, chemicals and leisure goods.

    PVC resin is used in a wide range of Australian products such as piping, cable insulation, floor coverings, building profiles, packaging and automotive components. Through its polymer additives division, AV supplies a range of products and chemicals including polymers, processing additives, specialty elastomers, fillers, pigments and stabilisers to the Australian plastics market. These products are imported from a number of international suppliers.

  • ModWood

    ModWood Technologies (ModWood), a subsidiary of AVC Holdings, has been operating since 2001 and is Australia’s largest manufacturer of wood/plastic composite products such as decking, marine boards and outdoor screens.

    ModWood uses home-grown technology based on the latest advances in additives for the wood/plastic industry from all over the world. It’s manufacturing plant is based in Campbellfield, Victoria, products are made using wood waste and post-consumer recycled plastic milk bottles. It uses in excess of 100 million waste milk bottles per annum.

  • Covalent Lithium

    Covalent Lithium (Covalent) is the managing company appointed by a joint venture between Wesfarmers Limited and Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM) to develop and operate the Western Australian Mount Holland Lithium Project.

    The Mount Holland Lithium Project, when constructed, will include a mine and concentrator at Mount Holland, located south of Southern Cross, and a refinery in Kwinana capable of producing approximately 45,000 tonnes per year of lithium hydroxide. This means Covalent will have complete control over the end-to-end value chain of producing battery quality lithium hydroxide.

    As the global demand for cleaner, battery-based energy storage systems and electric vehicles is on the rise, so too is the demand for the battery quality lithium hydroxide Covalent will produce. In full production, Covalent will produce enough lithium hydroxide to enable approximately one million electric vehicles to replace regular vehicles on the road each year.

  • QNP

    Queensland Nitrates Pty Ltd (QNP) is a fully integrated ammonia/ammonium nitrate (AN) facility located near Moura in Central Queensland. QNP is a 50/50 joint venture project between CSBP and Dyno Nobel, which was acquired by Incitec Pivot in 2008.
